In this version, we enhanced current features and applied bugfixes to strengthen the reliability and robustness of BIMsolar.
Enhancements
Made weather data exporter use the name of the site.
Decreased BusBars size on cell textures.
Made BusBars look silver.
Added control over half-module spacing when using half-cells.
Made the frame thickness editable on BAPV modules.
Changed the default frame thickness to 30 mm on BAPV modules.
Changed the frame size to 15 mm on BAPV modules.
Made PAN import use default BAPV module parameters when missing.
Changed default colors for front, back and frame of BAPV modules.
Bugfixes
Fixed shadowing value on selected surfaces in 3D Irradiation step.
Fixed reading of PAN files when BOM characters are found.
Fixed opacity on the frame and back of BAPV modules when found some transparency.
In this version, we are introducing powerful new features! We also enhanced current features and applied bugfixes to strengthen the reliability and robustness of BIMsolar.
New features
Added an experimental mode named "Complex" for Curved Surface (previously named Parallel Mode) to better handle very curved surfaces and keep a consistent spacing between modules.
Made the backside gap a feature available for both BIPV and BAPV systems. No need to explicitly allow it on BAPV modules anymore. BIPV modules with a backside gap won't make their support surface transparent.
Added the ability to edit the cell directly in the BAPV and BIPV editors.
Added PAN import in the BAPV module editor. This allows to populate the cell and module editors with the data found in a PVsyst PAN file.
Added editable weight and frame thickness parameters to BAPV modules.
Enhancements
Added surface area to the irradiance indicator when selecting a surface.
Added the total number of modules on each system type in Solar Design.
Reversed the shadowing scale in 3D Irradiation so that 0% means 0% shadowing, and 100% means 100% shadowing.
Added the ability to switch to the Offline site settings editor when the map is unavailable in the Online editor.
Added additional checks on modules and display a warning to the user when a module found connected to a string is found disabled for any kind of reason.
Added editable LID loss parameter to both BAPV and BIPV modules.
Rename Busses to BusBars in cell editor.
Increased BusBars maximum to 20 in cell editor.
Enhanced drawing of cells in cell editor when they are very elongated in their dimensions.
Bugfixes
Removed support for IDF projects for now.
Fixed crash about unsupported non-latin characters in paths when using using the library.
Fixed writing of hours when exporting weather data as EPW files. They were off by 1, 0-23 instead of 1-24.
Fixed the geometry of BAPV modules when they are double sided, so that the back cells are positioned exactly in the back of the front cells.
Fixed a regression on Curved Surface since 2.0.0 where it may have disabled BAPV modules in undesired circumstances, leading to crashes when the unexpectedly disabled module was connected to a string. This fix may lead to disabled BAPV modules to be re-activated. A migration warning is emitted when this is detected.
